College Finance & Financial Aid Workshop for Grade 12 Students & Families - Paul Martin

Date: 2/28/24

Title: Comparing Offers and Considering Appeals

This workshop provided answers to the final questions before you commit, including…

  • How do you fairly compare different offers and understand the four-year cost for each school?

  • Can our financial aid or scholarships change over time?

  • Should we appeal for more aid or “negotiate” for more merit scholarships?

  • What is the process to successfully engage colleges on an appeal?

College Money Method - CSS Profile Guidance

The College Scholarship Service Profile (CSS Profile) is a top priority for many college applicants and their parents applying for financial aid. It is time to complete this form that colleges use to determine the financial needs of students applying for Early Decision or Early Application.

To learn more about completing the CSS Profile, watch a live session recording with Paul Martin of College Money Method from our Saint Andrew's Resource page using the Password: sascmm. The video contains chapters for each section of the application so that families can go directly to the information they need.

You can also read Mr. Martin’s communication about the CSS Profile and resources for applicants.

Financial Aid Update - Class of 2024

As college applicant families, you likely have questions about the financial aid process in light of the FAFSA delay. Please read College Money Method’s message from Paul Martin to financial aid applicants about the timing and next steps for how to move forward in completing a FAFSA for your family. Please note that we advise you to complete this application by mid-January.
